    i have those at work. and theyre study as shit as long as its locked down and set on a flat surface.

    I use a cheap X stand and it works fine.

    That being said, foldy tables are probably better. I've used the ones with extending legs too and they are study enough, as long as you treat them well. We use them for sound boards and processing racks as well, way heavier than a dj rig (around 100 pounds of gear), and haven't had one break yet.
