I've had a LOT of luck with my Asus machine. It's a beast and handles most warez I use rather well without a lot of cracking up.

Way to go DvlsAdvct - I wouldn't trade my Asus N61J for anything. Including my wife's 15'' hi-spec MBP, which she did offer on a straight swop.

I have an HP envy 14. Its exclusively my work laptop. I looked and researched for a LONG time before I pulled the trigger and bought something, including the MacBook Pros. For about $300 MORE than I paid for my HP, with a lower spec'd processor, and a smaller hard drive I coulda gotten a MacBook Pro. I've logged approximately 500 hours of DJing on this rig, with not a single problem. I've run ableton on it as well and it takes it like a champ. 3 usb ports, a 750GB HD, core i7, 8 gigs of ram, and it cost me about $1000.
