Played for a long time today with that guy, the problem is that with midi sync the bpm is fluctuating soooooo much, and after 1-2 min the tick of the bmp is no longer synced.
So, the options are, continue to press sync in the send Midi clock tab, or beatmach manually, that was what we were doing at the end.
Is it possibile that all this fluctuating is caused by the fact this guy is using traktor pro 1? I have tp2, maybe if he upgrade tp the sync clock is gonna work better.

the fluctuation will always happen, but the audio should stay in sync perfectly, aslong as you have your settings done properly, and your tracks are beatgridded perfectly

that was the problem, the audio after a few time was not synced anymore.
the settings was, he send the midiclock from his mac to mine, so, miclock send active in his settings and off in mine (i don't have to send it)
master tempo set to int 128 in his mac, and ext in mine, play button on in his midi send and press sync in the tab.
created a generic midi in my setting with out port none and in port the midi connection, created a generic midi in his setting with in none and out the same midi connectio.
    all the deck synced.
For the first minute the track was always synced, but after a while they loose the sync, due the fluctuation i think, and he have to press sync in order to resync everything.
    Don't know why.

Maybe not for the faint of heart, but if youve got everything beatgridded fine then you could just read the bpms off each others screens? its not the best method but thats how i do it with my mate in the club

Yeah that works but make sure you and your mate have the same BPM's as we play drum and bass and we went B2B with some other DJ's on the night and most of them had drum and bass BPM's 1/2'ed so it was constant doubling on the spot.

I don't care what the teachers said in school maths isn't fun, especially when slightly drunk and in a crowded booth aha . .
