Can't really think of anything that would hack it as a studio monitor for 100 quid.
It's generally accepted that you get the best bang for your buck with KRK Rokits, but they're quite a lot more than that even for the 5s.
M-Audio also do some nice ones, but again they're not in that price region.

Yeah even with the steal of a deal Gianmarco found for the KRKs, it came out to $90 a monitor. $180ish out the door for both. That was a steal.
I was browsing for you though and found this:

I don't know if they're "good" but what English said, you get what you pay for.
And it would come out to $100 out the door in California. Don't know about where you're located.
I got these for general use from the computer and for learning to spin using the mixtrack.

They are tiny, but no covers on the cones so a bit delicate. Sounds a lot better than the average computer speakers, but not very bass heavy. I'm happy with the sounds overall, but haven;t had a chance to get them fully cranked up yet (timing and sleeping neighbors are an obstacle), but at half way up on the volume sound pretty decent.
The Numark NMP5 were what I was looking for and probably have a bit more bass, but were sold out at the time. The guy at GC said these TASCAMS sound better then the M-Audio ones. Wondering if the size will make a hugh difference as these are pretty small.

i use sony 3-way bookshelf speakers with my parents' old stereo receiver. got the speakers for around $85 and they sound great. it has pretty heavy bass due to the 8" woofers but mid and high are still clear and loud because of the 3-way design.
