    Then something is wrong with your mapping.

    Make sure you don't have any Modifier conditions set. Make sure the buttons are mapped properly.

    and the modifiers are mapped
    Button 1 -> Modifier 1 -> Direct -> 0
    Button 2 -> Modifier 1 -> Direct -> 1
    Button 3 -> Modifier 1 -> Direct -> 2
    Button 4 -> Modifier 1 -> Direct -> 3

    You CAN keep it, but what you'd need to do is add in lines for each button that are
    M1=1 M2=0
    M1=1 M3=0
    M1=1 M4=0

    on and on. This just does that automatically. M1 cannot = 2 and 3 at the same time, so the controls naturally reset.
    What about doing it this way ?

    You can. To do this you'd need each button to turn off the other modifiers.

    I'm still not sure why this isn't working. Can you upload a screenshot of the controller manager to the thread? I can't see photobucket or file sharing accounts, but I can if you just add it directly to the thread.

    You still have your modifiers wrong.

    They all need to be under Modifier #1. There should be 4 entries for Modifier 1, each with a different Direct Value of 0, 1, 2, and 3. They should each be mapped to a different corresponding button.
