    Default Birmingham

    This weekend I'll be visiting Birmingham with a bunch of friends. We will be there friday through monday. Can anybody recommend any clubs or bars?

    I remember going to some club there called Wobble about 10/12 years ago which was fun. My mate was in University there.

    It was called Wobble because the floorboards moved with the bass of the music, i.e. wobbling.

    Played decent music back then too.
    Ableton 9.7.5, Native Instruments Komplete Ultimate 11, MOTU 828 Mk2, Nektar Impact LX61+, Ableton Push, Native Instruments Kore 2, and a random selection of soft synths and sample libraries.
    Windows 10 Pro 64 bit with Core i7 4960X Extreme Edition 12 core CPU, 64GB RAM, SanDisk Ultra Extreme SSDs and a GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming GPU.

    What kind of music are you in to? Bars wise you need to head to Broad Street. That's the main strip of bars and there are some nice places just off that street as well. Blindly place is another cool place to go too.

    there was a wonderful dance hall there when I last went, back in '47. We made our own potato moonshine because rationing was still in effect

    I guess this was the time when turntables were for pottery, mixers were for whipping cream, and winecoolers were actually for cooling wine?

    I remember going to the CUstard Factory and the other place next door (ish) that's a converted church - the main room was awesome ...
