Default OT: Good Car CD Decks

I am new to the car audio scene. But looking to buy a good CD interface deck for my car along with some speakers. Does anyone know of some good cd decks around the $250, preferably with satellite radio.

    Thanks

I don't know of any with built-in Satellite, usually they're just "Sirius Ready".

I'm a huge fan of Pioneer & Alpine deck because they sound neat. Kenwood and Sony tend to give more feature for the buck, but their sound quality suffer a lil bit.

I have a Pioneer DEH-P6200BT, built in Bluetooth (was my main concern), works flawlessly and is XM&Sirius ready.

get a Pioneer DEH P6200BT. it is satellite capable and bluetooth ready. usb port for ipod's and tons of eq features to fine tune your audio settings. it has a detachable faceplate also which is good for me because I go to school in a not so good area.

I have the deck one step down from that so I dont have satellite or bluetooth because I didnt need either. same exact things minus those features.

i've only ever bought pioneer head units... good value for money - and imho the most visually aesthetic

bought a car with an alpine unit in it about 10 years ago which was great, but im unfamiliar with their products of late..

Thanks guys, Ill do some searching. What do you guys think about speaker set up. If I were to install 2 new speakers for now, would you reccommend getting the two in the front or the back installed?

I would say, try it first, then nothing stops you to change the speaker later. I tend to change the front one first... the one you hear more (depending of your own preferences...)

Pioneer do some nice 6" while their 6X9 is not always the best choice. Alpine, Orion, Phoenix Gold... and the list is long. You want to listen them first. I really like Eclipse speaker... tad expensive though. Their Decks sound amazing. Not sure of their latest model.
