    Default [OT] Studio Sessions!

I love watching studio sessions. I have been YouTubing these videos for a while and I have found a couple really interesting videos with artists and their studios and it's interesting to see how minimal some of them are (like Laidback Luke's) and how extravagant others are.

I thought i'd share, and I hope you guys share (which I am sure you will seeing how a lot of you are as addicted to YouTube as you are to Facebook) your finds too!

    Laidback Luke's Studio:

As I find more interesting ones i'll post them here!

I have maxed out my monthly internet quota plenty of times looking over these videos lol they are so interesting to watch. Laidback lukes studio was a wakeup call when i first saw it. I got addicted to craving new gear watching him put it in perspective.

I know this is off topic, sort of :P, but with regards to how each producer has a personal preference in what and how much gear they use I had the opportunity of mixing down a band the other day through an analogue mixing desk. It astounded me at how much of a difference it made to the sound. It wasnt really to do with the fidelity of the sound but more that when the digital mix was turned up it would eventually "hurt" my ears however, when playing back the analogue mix at the same level it was way more pleasing to listen to and things just seemed to balance out better in the mix.

Now i know these guys arent EDM producers/engineers but the videos on recordproduction.com with some world renowned engineers are really cool to watch over to.

I thought this was really interesting as well, it's a series on building your own studio. It's not very like detailed but he does go over everything you need for your own studio. It's in 3 different parts.
