    Default Laptops for Traktor

    Hey Party People

Im splitting with my GF and the Macbook I bought her is going with her, this means that all my Traktor stuff needs migrating.

I'll have money to spend on a new laptop, but what should I do?

    1. Get a new macbook... or a second hand one...
    2. Get a new windows laptop with a high spec for less money... if so which one

Any comments or suggestions are welcome

All my Mac's are Refurb. If you don't mind tinkering with your system to get it to work right you can save some money with Windows.

Thanks for the pointers any suggestions on where to get the refurbs? I was contemplating getting a vaio or dell xpsjust because bittorrents are easier to set up. Sorry film industry!

get refurbs from sites that you can walk into and return/exchange fix.

Do you have a MicroCenter or a CompUSA/TigerDirect or a Frys in your town?
Really, grab a refurb MacBook Pro since that is what you are use to.

The refurb deals on the Apple site are good. And they come with Applecare.

Word! That's pretty good. Although I'm not adverse to partitioning a windows based laptop. Thanks for the hints anyone reccomend a Microsoft option?

Interestingly enough, you can take the MBP and use the Apple software called Bootcamp and have it partitioned to run Windows. This will site side by side with your MacOS, but you can only run one at a time.

Now there is also the program Parallels (and other VM tools you cuold use) to spawn a separate instance of Windows while you are running Apple OS.
