Noooooooo!!..... Major disappointment! Is there not some hero that will reveal himself now to do the deed of reverse engineering??? Ean, what about some kind of donation scheme to create an incentive for an inventive soul to come on board to do the programming work??

Ouch. It never made a lot of sense to me that Vestax would be willing to support 14-bit midi on the vci-100, seeing as how they would be creating a product that would compete directly with their own more expensive vci-300. I guess I was just dreaming the spirit of experimentation would drive this idea into reality.

Ean- Any thoughts on a 1.4 firmware that would be all the good ideas sans 14-bit support? (I would love to get those filter knobs under control)

Donation schemes yeild next to nothing - so a donation pool would hardly be attractive to anyone

I was really looking forward to 1.4 firmware and this is a sad day indeed for the VCI-100. I for one was looking forward to 14-bit midi especially with the jog wheels (as I was hoping not to have to purchase a VCI-300 for this aspect). Hopefully someone with programming skills will save the day.

Though I can understand them not wanting to detract from the appeal of other current and future products by providing hi res support for the VCI (I was supprised by the possiblity in the first place) they could at least fix the FX button and LED issues.
