Default Numark Omnicontrol - Higher latency in Windows 7 64bit?

    hi guys,

I have been using a numark omnicontrol for 12 months now and previously was on Windows 7 ultimate 32bit and had a latency of around 10.5ms . I recently upgraded to windows 7 ultimate 64 bit ( and i have the 64bit driver for omnicontrol from the numark website) and now at the same sample rate I get a latency of around 36ms!

is this a known problem on 64 bit systems? I want to roll back to 32 bit but only if there is no work around in 64bit system.

When you say 'I get a latency of', where are you measuring it? do you mean you get dropouts below 36ms?

    yes and no lol

what i mean is when i use it in traktor (select right sound driver in audio preferences) and it shows latency buffer it used to show 10.5 ms at 256 samples (i have used 256 as an example as i am at work and cant remember exactly the amount of samples)) but now it shows 36ms at 256 samples if that makes sense.

so for some reason changing from 32 bit to 64 bit seems to have given 21 ms from somewhere! any thoughts?

I can adjust the latency buffer but I am still gett way more latency than i did on 32 bit W7.

i still cant work this out and am still having issues with high latency so think I am going to have to roll back to 32 bit version of windows 7.

having checked the latency in traktor pro 2 again and the procesing latency is 5.5ms and its the "out put latency" that has increased to 31ms which gives me a total of 36ms which is stupid.
