    Default Turntabletar?!?!?!?!

I was doing my morning routine of checking numerous blogs (5-6) to check up whats new in the tech, auto and music world when I came across this little creature. Looks like they took a Mixtrack, made a custom case and added a guitar look-a-like neck to it.

Would you rock this at your next gig?

"The not-so-cleverly-named turntabletar is something that should never be used IRL. Still, there's no denying its novelty. Two midi turntable controllers have been melded with a mixer and strapped to something resembling a guitar neck. But instead of fret bars and strings, the neck has a crossfader, which, of course, is a DJ's best friend. Theoretically, any DJ-esque MIDI app"

    Whats a crossfader?

The neck is a really silly place to put the crossfader if you actually want to use it rapidly (as for scratching or superfader effects work). I was designing something like this with a midifighter and crossfader in a guitar body (one of my projects that never really got off the ground), but my plan was to have the crossfader on the body of the guitar so you could work it with your strumming hand. Putting it on the neck just seems awkward.

In addition, this thing is kinda ugly and unwieldy. And not very intuitive to use. Much cooler if it just had one jogwheel and an A-B-C-D switch to change the deck you control with it. Or forget the jogwheel altogether; it's not really clear it would be that useful used in this fashion anyway.

I think the neck is screaming for some arcade buttons.
