Default Ableton Live Looping like in Traktor?

I am new to dj'ing with Live and trying it out. I was trying to set my midi controller to make loop lengths like in Traktor, but it seems the loop settings are global, or did I map this wrong? I would like it where I click on loop and the track will loop to a specified # of bars and then in deck 2 the same but maybe at different length that in deck 1. Is this possible in Live with a midi controller? I guess I could have different clips as loops, but this gets to be not very "on the fly"dj'ing but more like presets..
Anyone know if this is possible?

Claudek just 2 make this clear, u cant loop with Live in the same way u do with traktor!
If you want 2 decrese the lenght of the loop in a really small part you'll have 2 change the global quantization in values smaller then 1 but then I'm not sure if the track will go in sync with the rest of your tracks...Although u could apply sort of ''loop'' effect like ''SuperLuper'' which kind of do the job imo
Hope it make sense 2 u
P.S. sorry 4 my english,it's not my first language...

I am going to check out this Ableton looping stuff in more detail when my cpu isnt under near 100% load.

Superluper is a Ableton rack thats availible on the Ableton Live dj forums. its a pretty limited looping unit though, the tracks playback position is still going forward while the track is looping which isnt something you allways want.

    To Claudek
here's the link for the SuperLuper http://www.tarekith.com/assets/TarekithDJEFXv5.zip
Once u unzip the file, the superluper is the live 6 folder
P.s. Have 2 agree with Bento tho about the track keep playing but u could achieve something using this effect combined with the Live native loop function,if u know what i mean..

I think they are talking about bringing back the old beatmasher in 1.0.3, but I can't remember for sure. There are SO many things they are talking about fixing.
    It's the FAQ. Read it.

The beatmasher2 is the traktor pro version of this - it captures a 4 beats of audio and lets the play position keep going forward while its looping.the 4 beats.
