    Have to love the Japanese SFM - the only distillers outside of Scotland with the audacity to call their elixir WHISKY and not whiskEy. The Yamazaki remains the holy grail, but it's limited availability puts it beyond reach. The first new batches after the distillery was destroyed in the tsunami should be on the shelves soon. Lagavulin 16Y is however a benchmark.

    Yeah, great stuff, got into those 3-4 years ago after exhausting all the Glenns and Lagavulin & Co. And as I understand, the scarcity of Yamazaki is actually part of their marketing tehnique.
