Default Emulating the DJm-800 color effects with traktor\

    Hey yo.

I was reading inside a thread somewhere a while back about someone saying something about the color filter on DJM-800/ new djm350 mixers are not the same type found in traktor.

Traktors filter actually filter out the highs or lows depending on the pass whereas the color filter select a frequency band and leaves the rest unaffected?

I figured that the wet/dry knob would be able to simulate the effect.
I realize that there is a djm filter in the advanced mode but it doesnt really sound the way I am describing it. There always managed to be a volume drop.

I find the filters seem to cut to no sound at all too soon or something.

    Enlighten me!

The color filter actually works the same as the filter in Traktor. Turning it clockwise gives you a high pass filter and turning it counterclockwise makes it a low pass filter. If you don't like the volume drop, try playing around with the resonance (advanced FX in Traktor). TBH, I'd stay as far away from the DJM color filter, because it sounds like shit if you go more than 10% in each direction. Play around with the Xone:92 filter in Traktor if you haven't done that already...

You can also change the type of filter in the mixer section of Traktor. Go to preferences/mixer/filter section and see which you like best.

    I'm fried by'

I guess I'll have to play with the sensitivity of the knobs then I guess.

    I've played with them all.

Pretty well same result. Like you said. After like 1 or 2 oclock they loose there sound.

I wish they'd open up the s4 so I could remap some of the sensitivities.
