Touch OSC help please

hi i am new here and been browsing the forums and see a few people use touchosc here so thought i would ask for help if thats ok

Right ok i have just downloaded TouchOSC for ipod touch
and i am trying to get it to run through abelton

i have followed there steps for windows

but what host name do i enter?
as it just keeps saying searching and on pd its not showing on the input on there

am i entering the wrong host name? (what is my hostname?)
and how do i get it to show up in pd

i am really Confused on this one

if anyone can help would be great
as i dont want it to be a waste of money

Your host name is your computers ip number. You would have to look in your network settings somewhere and find a number that should look like 192.381.762 I am on a mac and don't know how to do it with a pc. But if you run a search in google for finding network ip or what is my computer's ip you should be able to find that number and then plug it into the app on your ipod or iphone and it should sync.
