    I use my MBP for everything. As long as you restart it before a gig, you shouldn't have any problems.

    I restart mine and disable a lot of the things I have running in the background all the time like Dropbox, Evernote, Plex, PDANet, etc.

    Ideally the only things I'll have running are Traktor and Caffeine. Never have had a single issue this way.

    Sorry to intervene gentlemen - anybody going to expound on the necessity to
    reboot your machine before a gig?
    - is this only if it has been used just before you gig (i.e. to empty the cache)?
    - if I switch my machine on (from shutdown) at set-up is that considered a reboot?
    - is this a Mac prerequisite, or does it apply to PC as well?

    I'm lucky enough to have a MacBook issued for work so my own MacBook is for dj'ing only, which I've just popped an SSD in and waiting for my optibay now
    MacBook Pro 15" 2.0GHZ i7. Kontrol S4. Traktor Scratch Pro 2.5. MidiFighter Classic. Aiaiai TMA-1.

    Applies to every machine, just as a fresh start if you tend to sleep your computer. If you are turning it on there is no need for it.

    Is this worth paying the £24.95 for then? ive just installed it and got the free demo, but ive done a scan and its saying i can only sort out 500mb as thats the limit unless i buy a license...
