Default Touch midi! About to order!

Hey all so I saved up some money and going to order Emulator!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1-IWyepIuc

I know this is a not a traditional way of djing, and being in the game for over 10 years I was never a traditional kinda guy! With that being said I contacted http://www.smithsonmartin.com for a price list!

Very quick response by someone named Julie, who emailed the price list of the setup! Check out the .pdf!

I will definitely make a video and review this awesome gear and with enough gigs I can probably pay this off pretty quick!

Anyone see this live? Or going in the same direction as I am, do share your thoughts!

    Happy Mixxxing!

Heres a copy of the the email from the company!

In terms of pricing for the Stand and the Screen + software: pricing is as follows.

    $5,975 - (minus) projector: $5,275 for the 46" - 6 touch setup.

In order to make the setup work you would require a laptop with HDMI output to plug your projector into (Short Throw), minimum spec of Intel Core i5 or i7 with at least 2 GB of RAM and Windows 7 O/S.

Our Emulator software works with Traktor 2 by Native Instruments.

So I am only getting the SCREEN, THE STAND AND THE SOFTWARE!

A bit pricey, but I want to try this for myself!

for ~$4000 to spend on a screen just to dj i dont think someone would ''save'' money for, rather than just...''spend''

A ticket to NAMM or something would be cheaper...

I mean you could get 2 xone DB:4s with that and have change. If it's what you want then go for it, but that is a hell of a lot of money for what is basically a really big iPad.

If people are watching everything you do I can't help feeling that takes the excitement of a new track away for an audience. I mean if you can see the track title 2 minutes before it gets played... and worse, if the DJ using it loads your favourite track, you get excited then he decides it doesn't work and moves on...

Not my style but there we go.

People I have an update, Forget about getting a screen from EMULATOR I found something a lot cheaper!

    @fullenglishpint

Don't quote me but I think I saw somewhere that emulator has an option to block song tittles and artists! In any case once I get it all I will do an extensive review!

Here is what I will probably order since the price is way lower!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3z9wdnUfWs

Most likely this setup will run me a little over $2000 !

AND YOU GUYS ARE RIGHT, THE EMULATOR SETUP IS WAY TOO MUCH MONEY!
