We don't believe in the star system. We want the focus to be on the music. If we have to create an image, it must be an artificial image. That combination hides our physicality and also shows our view of the star system. It is not a compromise-daftpunk

It's a good controller, works fine when you are getting started, works great if you have a controller pad (I have the korg nano). This is actually a cheap combination that allows you to have enough control of software such as Traktor, but of course with some modifiers.
The only problem I have is its lack of precision with all of the controls, you have to move them a little bit more so the software can read it.

If you need the midi mappings feel free to ask.

I'll be using it(x-session) in conjunction with a Remote SL 25 and a stanton Dascratch, I have a nocturn now, but in only about 5 months time I have scratched the fader to death, it will now jump around(the signal) while standing still(The fader itself).

I really just need it for a durable crossfader that hopefully has smoother action than the nocturn, can anyone compare directly between the two?

I'd be using it as a scratch channel controller for ableton live.

I was also wondering if the unit can save multiple different presets(midi CC#) on the hardware itself?

    thanks for everyone's help.

I've got an XSP, it's great. I fully recommend it.

I did a review here, if it helps.

There is a program that allows you to save presets on to the xsp. It's called Enigma. You can get it on m-audios site.

I have one alongside my vci-100, I think I will use it for controlling deck 3 and 4 in tpro. I have it since like 2 year and it never fell on me and it's pretty well build for a little plastic box .
