Gamepad Midi Problem

Hey guys. So basically I made myself a little midi controller with an old gamepad as the brain. I had the thing working perfectly, but I left it plugged in to my computer. When I returned my computer no longer recognizes it, and also cannot 'install the driver software'.

Do you guys think there is a short or a problem somewhere in my circuitry or do you think the board itself might be buggered (cheap asian crap)

Any help would be appreciated.

have you tried restarting your computer and plugging it out/in again?
