    OK, the general consensous is that it is a scam...

    So, I am going to go meet on Sat but I am going with no intention of any thing other than to satisfy my curiosity...

    it's worth it if you have the money, trust me. I've been doing web design and have promoted all my sites like this. It costs a lot, but gets you out there. it combines google ad words and all other search engines making you the top.

    +100 A grand is enough to throw a pretty good party and book a name Dj yourself.

    Do a search on here for promoting, loads of good articles.

    What MaxOne said. Check out the link in my signature for the big thread of promotion info. $1000 should be plenty to get a 'name' Dj (even if it's only a local name or two) and get a bunch of flyers printed up. Honestly, in the long run you are prob better off going down that route.
