Can't install TP2

I called DJTT, but they're closed on friday and I couldn't find any threads on this in the first few pages so when I get my answer I'll delete this thread.

I got my S4 yesterday and was all excited and started going through the steps of getting it all installed. When I got to the point where it says put in your serial number, the only number I have is for Traktor Pro 2, not TP1 as I believe it wants. I feel dumb, but I got very frustrated trying to figure this out. Can anyone help me out here?

Download the demo of TP2 from the NI website and activate it with your serial number. Sorted!

Going through some more threads, people mention getting some sort of upgrade email. Is this what's keeping me for installing? I checked my email, including the spam folder, and there was no such email.

Sounds like it could work. Anyone else do this? I'd rather just have the full installation as compared to snagging a demo version. But if there is no difference then that would be awesome.

Lots of people have done this. It is the solution to your problem.

There is no difference. It just needs activation with the serial #.

Basically the S4 used to ship with special S4 software, but when TP2 was released all registered users got an email with a new SN for TP2. These days they ship with TP2 SNs out of the box, but sometimes the CD contains TPS4. Confusing.

But yeh, just get the demo and activate it.
