Talking VCI-100 FW Upgrade with usb to rs232 ttl

Hi guys, I have purchased an VCI-100 with stock FW 1.1, I want to upgrade it to FW 1.4 . A friend of mine sells a USB to RS232 TTL module, and I would like to know if I can upgrade it with this module.

The specs of the molude are:

-Based on CP2102 chip (datasheet http://www.silabs.com/Support%20Docu...ocs/cp2102.pdf)
    -6 2,54mm pins
    -USB 2.0 12 Mbps
    -1024 bytes EEPROM

    PINOUT:

    1 2 3 4 5 6
Vcc5V GND RXD TXD RST Vcc3v3

Here are two images of the module:
