    Default midi fighter a toy?!?!?!

    just found this article:

This is a really great toy, definitely worth building this one, as it turns your DAW / Traktor / Digital DJing solution into an arcade-style, pinnball wizard feeling-lookalike jukebox! check out this small tutorial about the assembly, and youŽll most likely want to own one! I will order this as soon as all my other projects reach an end… here youŽll find more information about the kit (the arcade buttons have to be ordered separately)
are they having a laugh, i certainly wouldnt call it a toy! i dont have one YET but still.... c'mon!

I wouldn't that them describing it as 'a toy' as being dismissive - I refer to half of my gear as 'shiny toys' ...

yeah i suppose its how i read it but i hate it when people say things like that in the context that they really do mean "toy", but still just how i read it in the first place:eek:

toy: An object, esp. a gadget or machine, regarded as providing amusement for an adult

If you don't consider your gear to be toys then maybe DJing isn't for you! :P

..that being said, I usually refer to crap quality gear as being "toy-like"

It does have arcade buttons. It is awesome, but you can hardly call it a top notch industry standard ass kicking piece of party raping equipment... Half the buttons on it are dedicated to effects and one of the major mappings is based of Street Fighter. Their amazing though... I do use three of them.
