    Default rapid evolution

    Hi there,
I justed got into the whole harmonic mixing thing and was looking for some free piece of software to analyze my songs. Now I found rapid evolutions and it's supposed to write the key into the id tags of the song. Anyway it does show it in the key section of the program but not in the key column in Traktor. Any idea how to solve this without manually typing it in for every song?

but I do have one question tho, if i let it rewrite the JID tags will this mean traktor has to reanalyze and regrit the whole bunch?
edit: i tried it out but it doesn't seem to show any difference in traktor, any help will very much be appreciated

    I use JAudioTagger.

You need to check these at least to have Key work in TP:
Library Settings > Tag Writing > Tag Write Fields > Write Key to Tags
Library Settings > Tag Writing > Tag Write Fields > Write Key To Grouping Field
Library Settings > Tag Writing > Tag Write Fields > Write Key Codes *** IF YOU WANT MIX IN KEY FORMAT (01A-12B) ***

I don't think so, Traktor does not store its grid/cues in tags, it uses its own database.

But I can't guarantee it won't nudge it off 1/32 or whatnot..

    hi

how's it working out for you? I'm tempted to try Rapid evolution.

    cheers
It's not the gear. It's how you use it.

well kinda stopped doing this because it's a real pain in the ass to get the tags in traktor, still didn't figure this shit out.

    OK....its a bit tricky!

    Is it RE3? or RE2?

You have to dig kinda deep into the settings for files. Made sure you have the correct Tag type set and also set where you want the keycode to be put...in the track title or comments etc.

Also be sure to set it to Keycode....not just key.
