Traktor Scratch Pro 2 - Compatible Sound cards?
I'm a little confused about what sound cards are compatible with Scratch Pro. I've been digging around the internet for a couple days trying to find my answer and I haven't gotten any solid yes or no.
If I get an AudioFire4, can I use Scratch Pro 2 with it, as long as I have the proper control vinyl? It seems fairly clear that I can use any soundcard with the non-scratch versions, but I haven't found any conclusive information about if DVS will work, or not.
I know from testing in a friends copy of Traktor Scratch Pro 1.2.7 that if I set the default soundcard mic to be an input line and whistle into the microphone, the input graph in the timecode setup option panel DOES react. Will TSP2 actually work with timecode vinyl and a 3rd party sound card?
Sorry if I can find this answer elsewhere... I spent 6 hours digging around yesterday, looking for some indication that someone has even tried this before, with no luck.
Thanks in advance!
J!

You can use any ASIO soundcard.

Licenced copies of Traktor Scratch Pro/Duo aren't available without an NI certified mixer or soundcard, and won't work without one. The list of certified mixers is on their website, and TSP will work with NI Audio 4, 6, 8 or 10 boxes.
You need a licence as well as the sound card though.

Outside of these options there is no other legal way to run Traktor Scratch software.
If you have one of the mixers in that list then you need to buy this upgrade.

If you don't have anything then you need to pick between Scratch Pro or Duo full version. They both come with either an Audio 10 or Audio 6 depending on which version you get.

If you can find a used Scratch Duo 1 copy you can upgrade for $49, but you need to make sure it comes with a sound card, should be an Audio 4. Any of the old 4 or 8 sound cards will work with Traktor Scratch/Pro 2
Finally Scratch and regular Traktor Pro are completely different softwares and there is no upgrade from pro to Scratch. If you don't have turntables or CDJ's then there is no use in getting any version of Scratch as that's the only difference in the software.
