Weird, VCI-100 doesn't light up when I tried to power it on...
If the flash message confirmed it wrote the firmware... means the VCI-100 was connected and really wrote the firmware? Or it was just available to send the firmware to the cable?
And also, I remember reading about a VCI-100 stuck in bootload mode... can't remember the thread, if anyone remembers, it'ld be great! :P
-
Going to try version 4.01 of the Renesas toolkit.... was using 4.02..
Cuz I can flash the device over and over again, so it's not dead... just stuck in bootload mode I'm guessing...

is it still stuck in bootmode?
-
Yeah, lol, dumbass me... forgot to remove the links between grounds and vcc pins...
I desoldered the pins and now it lights up.. only one plate lights up though.. will have to check this out...
-
Ok so I desoldered the cable, and it's all right now!
Will have to look into soldering a switch to bypass the links that stuck the device in boot mode.
NOW THE DAMN PARAM4 BUTTON WORKS, WOOT WOOT WOOT! mouahahahahha now the fun times come!

DJTT Dominator
so you got it to work w/o the serial cable?
