I havent tried Spark, but it looks to boutique for my tastes. Maschine seems to be the better layout, as well as having a notoriously fast workflow.

I looked into Spark before I bought Maschine and it really seemed like a no brainer.

Maschine v Spark. Maschine. Better workflow, more polished product. VST integration.
Maschine v APC 40? The APC 40 is just a controller so you'd need the context of some software.

The APC40 does is not made for Pad Drumming what so ever, Maschine and Spark are made for pad drumming.

    apples to oranges really.

I'd go maschine as having more pads waiting to be 'hit' sounds easier/ more interesting to work with

I just downloaded the software standalone demo for Arturia Spark EDM. For $99 us it seems to be a value as a drum machine vst or softsynth. Anybody have experience with using just the software?

So which one do you want us to tell you to get more? I otherwise see no reason for this question.

Not sure what else I expected.
