    Default Direct Thru

I very often play vinyl alongside timecoded vinyl on traktor scratch. I have one question though, if i play the vinyl through the soundcard do i lose the quality? I have to switch the deck to direct thru because the tts are plugged into the soundcard. cheers

Yes? I think so because it's going through the soundcard and software now as well as the mixer. But I haven't experimented listening side by side.

on my dnx1600 I've always just switched from the phono line to the DVS line..
I've never run vinyls through traktor.
    1) the volume also seemed significantly quieter.
    2) If I wanted to use traktor I'd buy a $2 MP3 and not a $10 vinyl

to each their own tho.. shouldn't really be much of a difference.. you'll be taking the signal through a sound card as oppose to straight in and out of the preamp.

    Direct Thru? No.
Through Traktor's decks? Maybe a bit if you've got great ears and are listening in an audiophile environment. But you can use Traktor FX on them.

yes but with this version you have to plug the TTs into the soundcard meaning theres nothing on the phono input

Sometimes that's not an option - if the vinyl never got an mp3/CD rerelease, vinyl is your only option.
