Default New cans! <3 aka The Importance of Proper Cue Sound

With the old cans I could barely hear the bass lines so output had a problem of a bit of a muffled sound since they werent mixed as good as I thought. Got got these Red Waves for $60 at Amazon (thanks to some other thread that hinted that sale!) and have been a total upgrade. I have also use them for Ipad music applications and it performs beautifully.

Obviously there are far better options but point is that if you cue with some lacking in the bass department, dont expect perfect bass performance and even worse if you go crazy with fx. I wish I had decent cans when I started DJing.

So what can you techtoolers say about <The Importance of Proper Cue Sound>? What cans you started using? Which are you using now? Did you noted a significant upgrade? I know I did!

Ooooo those red wave's look nice. I started with a pair of Bose over the ear headphones and now have some HDJ 500's. They're really nice headphones, comparable to the red wave's in price and sound quality.

My first pair were the Sony MDR-7506's. Still probably the best quality ones I ever had.

Senny HD280s. I bet you I can make them last nearly a decade.

I started with a cheap $40 pair of Sonys
Then I garduated to a pair of Sony MDR-V500. Those were fantastic tough as nails, until I stepped on them :P Now I have a pair of Pioneer HDJ-2000s, they're wonderful, I love em. I couldn't be happier!
