    Default Highly portable controllers

Hey guys. Basically I'm looking for really small/portable controller that could allow me to do some decent mixing during my daily uni travels haha.

Basically I'm looking for something bus powered, that I can kind of shove in and out my bag without having to worry about it falling to bits. I was kinda leaning towards an X1, but just thought I'd check out all the possibilities with you you guys haha

    Thanks in advance,
    Harry

If you want to keep it cheap, go for the DJ2GO, if not an issue, my vote is for an NI kontrol X1, great machine.

the dj2go is very cheap and portable but pretty limitting. i think i'd prefer to just use a lpd8 instead which with my midimasher code gives u full 2 deck control with cues etc and also a twitch style slicer.

i bought my icon idj for the same purpose, highly portable and can do everything. it's pretty small - tho bigger than the d2go and about 600g i think, so not the lightest option.

here's a photo with it compared to an lpd8 sizewise (knobs on both arent original):

edit: if you don't mind a touch sensitive surface then the scs.3d is very small and light and cheap 2nd hand. it has awesome led feedback and is ideal to use with multiple layers. one of those could be setup to control as much as u needed.

iPad + External soundcard. Can do lots of things. But there is a lack of tactile feedback..

yep - good as part of an overall setup more than by itself - but for travelling would be ideal if it was going to be taken anyway ofc...

I'd say keep quality in mind as well. Here are my votes:

Ultraportables: Faderfox, X1, Midi Fighter Pro, Trigger Finger, X-Session Pro
    Portables: Twitch, Kontrol S2, VCI-100
