Default What is the basic equipment I need for digital DJing?

I want to start digital DJing but I don't have a clue what i need (the DJ websites are too confusing)

I've no DJ experience and I would appreciate someone telling me the basic equipment and a short explanation of what it is.

    Thanks in advance!

The most basic is a laptop and a dj program (Serato, traktor, virtual DJ).

If you want hardware go to guitar center and play with stuff.

Pretty much this. There are a lot of different programs to choose from, and going from basic MIDI controllers onto turntables and CD's as far as controllers to choose from.

It's not a simple "buy this" and titties and beer will flow from the heavens through your amazing bass-blasting skills. It's an expensive hobby/profession with a lot of choices on how YOU want to do it, all dependent on your budget.
