CDJ-400's are worth about $350 each, and the DJM-400 is worth about $275. Pretty even trade really.

I'd probably take the controller over the CDJs.
    1) I'd just use MP3s anyway
    2) Traktor/other software gives you more control and better visuals
    3) CDJ are bulky

you'd need a serato interface if you traded for the cdj's.. another expense right there..

i'd take the cdjs, it's not like a single person not have been pleased with the 400-set.
Sometimes it might be good to have the flexibility to play cd's.

In sweden a 400 set is worth more than a ddj-s1, due to s1 recent price drop.
If the 400 set is in good condition least I would have a go at it.

Again someone putting a decision in somebody else's hands without giving them any context.

Doesn't sound like an amazing deal to me. A fair one but not great.

i´d stay with the ddj-s1 too. like stated above. you´re able to control more thing with your setup right now.

Up to a week ago I would have said keep the s1, but if you have the space for it and don't mind lugging it around I think I'd go with the CDJ/Mixer setup from a flexibility point of view.

Its an OK deal as poppinjay says .. not amazing, but fair.

Throw the CDJ's in HID mode for traktor control (if you are thinking of going the traktor route) and IF you could get hold of the X1 deal while they are offering traktor free with it you'd have more controls than you have currently
