Hittin' Switches For The Bitches
Even with that I still separate myself from the people that buy the stuff that's spoon fed to them by literally listening to hundreds (in one sitting) of just released tracks. When I'm done with that I'll check staff picks and maybe a few DJ charts of DJ's that don't just pick their own songs, remixes, or label releases.
hm...now i only have to choose wich genre i´m going to be famous with djing! dayum!
any help would be appreciated.
I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.
crate sync? the question is: what do you do with the time that gives you?....
There seems to me to be different types of djs. Wedding, radio, bedroom, club, etc... If I was a "pro" dj that normally plays top 40 at birthdays and proms, but was requested to play house that night, this kind of thing would be really useful. It may even broaden my taste in music and make it easier to filter to have it lumped together for me.
Personally I enjoy finding music, taking deep trips into the other people bought tangents, or digging thru SoundCloud to find unknown talent, but I am genre locked in purchases, and really only shop outside of drum and bass if a track really catches my ear.
Say what you want about Beatport doing this, but the hip hop/funk warm up list is top notch! I listened to the tech sets to and they weren't bad music by any means. I added about 5 tracks out of everything I listened to to my crate, which is probably exactly what Beatport wants.
It slices, it dices, collect them and share with your friends...
