Default Buying Powered Monitors to gig with

Any suggestions, my budget is pretty low, also I am not playing at anywhere too crazy just want some stuff for house parties/weddings/bar mitzvahs so that I can start making some money. Just as clarification, I did say monitors, but I don't plan on using them to monitor, just as powered loudspeakers.
    Thanks

Behringers powered speakers 12" or 15" the prices are cheap, they are loud, and sound quality is pretty good. When I was at Guitar Center, we have some JBL EON G2 15" next to the behringer 15" and the sound was about the same. (Dont want to start a war about Behringer being better than JBLs)
