    Thumbs up >>>Deep House 30 Min Mix<<<

Hey guys this is my first attempt at making a deep house mix, but last night one of the owners of one of the top clubs in the city where I'm staying in Brazil asked me for one.

The club plays mostly house and deep house, and if he likes it, he will feature me alongside some of the best DJ's in the country. This club always books the top artists and producers in Brazil and overseas. I'm super stoked about this as this will be a big opportunity for me to get out in Brazil.

Please take a listen and let me know what you think! Cheers.

    The club:

    Why only 30mins long?

First of all: I have never played in a club.

My opinion: I think 2 min. highlights of songs with more effects will sound more entertaining(not better).

(first transition)Your beatgrid is very good, but the bass is too loud, there should only be one track with bass, the other at least 40% down when mixing [deep] house.

Well when I was chatting with the owner I asked him how long my demo should be and he said 30 mins is enough.

I wanted to make a 60 min mix but he said it wasn't necessary.

Thanks for your feedback. Yeah I know that shorter tracks with lots of effects sounds great, but I wanted to give him a demo of how I would be playing, "club mix" etc..

We all have our own way of mixing (transitioning) I'm going to have another listen to try and hear what you talking about. Like I said this as my first time mixing deep house, I normally play tech/progressive so maybe I need to re look how I mix when playing deep house.

I must say I rather enjoyed making this mix, deep house is a genre I never payed much attention to before, until now, it was fun. I'll definitely make another mix soon. Cheers.

I meant the transition @ 5:50 , but I'm hearing it on my speakers now and the transition just sounds good, as well as all the other transitions. Sorry

    Good luck!

I would disagree with that, it's hard enough to show off set programming in a 80min mix, much less a 30min mix.

    troll?

2 min per track is almost never enough for deep house, that just makes it sound really rushed. Gotta go with the flow

to the op: I really like the selection and your mixing is good, though i'd make an hour mix personally.
