    How could richie say he is using this if he claims in his NI videos to use midi sync ?

    All it is a just midi controller, you could use any midi equipment to do this with.

    best thing about this is it translates audio to midi bpm ..good for syncing Ableton to apps like Serato.. Many Serato guys use these to sync Ableton Live, but one needs something like an Audio 8 or midi in to the computer.

    Default I use redsound voyager

    For the last 3 years I have used the red sound voyager to sync ableton to djing off vinyl which always works really well. I think the sound byte mini works in a similar way converting audio to a midi time code.

    That thing's been around for a while, plus that's Richie's old hair style?

    But seriously, on AbletonLiveDJ.com, that's the device (during the Live 5 and 6 days) that was ALWAYS recommended to use when spinning with CDJ's.
