i started out listening to new order and depeche mode, liked some rave stuff (had some dj sy and sj ss tapes) and then loved the prodigy's jilted generation when it came out.

paul oakengold playing a gig at uni was what really turned the lights on for me tho. he pretty much played his dragonfly release "voyage into trance". this slinky wizard tune is one of my favs from that album.

and thus began a goa fest...

I have absolutely no idea. I don't really think I could pin point it to one track. I started listening to dance music when I was like 12 or 13, can't remember that far back

That's the track i remember the most from my youth and EDM, was like 7 years ago.
Not the first EDM track i listened to, but for sure the one that had the biggest impact.

    Artist: Li Kwan
    Track: Point Zero

It was released in 1994 (SEKA Records), but became mega big in '95 when released on the Reactivate series. The sound of my youth. This track gives me goosebumbs to this very day.

That tune was on their Spaceglider album. (Raumgleiter). Man I use to play Lava, the track just before that one on the same album, over and over again. Those guys are awesome!

I don't really care for much EDM except for some Dubstep, some Electro, French House, glitch, etc. I am very picky. I prefer 3 minute tracks with lots of variation to 7 minute tracks with long repetitive sections.

This track wasn't the first EDM track I liked (actually that would probably be a daft punk record), but it's one of the most memorable, and got me hooked on warp records.
