Default Program To Slice a Song

Basically, I need a program that will slice an audio track into beats.

What I'm actually trying to do to be honest is cut the Jefferson Airplane song "Somebody to Love" into sections and then map it to different pads on my Nanopad.

I tried doing it manually in Audacity which worked... kind of. It's slightly off at times which causes big problems if I want to stay in time (duh).

I know you can slice a sound clip up in Fruity but theres no way of saving the individual slices as wav/mp3 files.

    Any suggestions?

Ableton will let you slice up samples and also warp them so they will stay perfectly in time. You can export as .wav then.

I don't own Ableton, I have the trial but I've barely used it. Any idea where I could get a guide or at least some help on doing this?

yea Im with you. if you're only trying to chop them up for Nano use just use cue points in Traktor. If you also need to properly grid it, you'll want to do it in ableton. I think the trial lets you save right? The warp feature is all you need.

About the FL "chop" and "slice" saving. I know you can save them each as individual wavs or mp3s...I've done so easily in the past. Let me look when I get home tonight.
