Although it seems a great controller, the S4 still comes with NHL and I think that they've the best scratching decks possible! This is just generic MIDI (if I'm not mistaking)...

I had an S4 now got a VCI400
S4 wins if you wanna scratch
VCI wins for everything else imo
And the layout is fine - not cramped at all
The way it uses the mode switches at the front giving you three layouts for the buttons is very clever
Shame about the fader caps though - they are awful

I'm so tempted to go with the VCI but the S4 is just so good with Traktor!
