    Default dave04045's Setup.

    Hopefully this brings back some of the nostalgia from when you had no money and wanted to be a DJ. I've been mixing for about 18 months, and am still on my Hercules RMX with a LEGITIMATE COPY of Traktor Pro

    In the picture -

    Hercules RMX midi controller
    HP Pavillion dv6tqe Laptop
    50 W desktop speakers (yes I know, I have no money...)
    Crappy Desk Lamp

    I will soon be adding a Traktor Kontrol X1 to this set up.

    Anyways, take a moment to laugh at my excuse of a set up

    I have WAY much more respect for this than the dozens of "I got good grades so Daddy is buying me $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ worth of gear"

    Thanks man! My parents follow the "work hard to afford it yourself" ideology. Hopefully I can get some new gear for Christmas and update this bad boy.

    you young man have some great parents. I was brought up this way. A bit of hard work makes you appreciate what you treat yourself to.

    LOL lucky you, starting with traktor, i started with Djay for Mac, before anyone had even heard of it, but i actually learned the whole basis for Djing, and now i use traktor, an X1, Audio 4, and a stanton M.203 and produce with ableton, and a launchpad, expecting a Badass midi mixer + midi keyboard for ableton. Christmas is definitely the national Dj holiday(;

    I'm just starting out too, and I give you props for actually getting a copy of Traktor. I just got my copy of Traktor and an Audio 4. But a couple of my friends were like just get the software off the internet. And check ebay for some cheap used equipment.
