Well, the screenshot shows relative mode. Maybe it's skipped early or not needle dropped at the very beginning of the record ? There's a fair distance between the two.

@Paka Ono : thanks. The line had me a little startled at first because we all know a strictly vertical/horizontal line on the display means bad things on plain ol' timecode (but this isn't straight, so..)

It was in relative mode, since I was the tempo sync, this is happening from the start of the record.
