Well, I'd say it's crap, but since pop music can have some of their biggest names preform all playback and still have big pop acts that actually do play live and do it good get all the respect they deserve, you just have to make it obvious to the audience that the DJ:s not actually mixing anything. Just as it's quite obvious when a concerts all playback. We just need to separate the boys from the men so to speak, I think Guetta would have huge crowds even if people knew it was pre-recorded...

don't be so sure - a dnb artist by the name of Mistabishi was caught doing the same thing and basically got dropped from one of the biggest dnb labels and hasn't gigged since.

I know for a fact that Judge Jules has mimed to a DAT (shows how long ago it was). He was doing 2 gigs in one nite and he mimed at his early slot.

2 of my mates did a posh girls party in a marquee at her mansion and they mimed to one of my mix cds... wankers got paid as well hahaha

They phoned me from the gigged and laughed about it... They are 2 of my closest mates so what ya gonna do.
I had to see the funny side.

Turned out to be a shit party full of pompous upper-middle class kids who weren't very interested in the music so they guys just stuck my mix on and got drunk.
