Oh no I just wonder what the future will hold for Djs...

ah i see.
well i guess at this stage in the global climate there will be less people spending money on entertainment and more on nesseccities. due to people having less money. thats definately not to say its going to dissapear by any means. im hoping art in general will become more popular in the future, as i see it as the most powerful force of human communication.

the tech will get better, and the interaction between human and interface potential will eventually be met (at least it has in the analog world, i assume the samwe fate for digital). who know when that will be or what it will entail. some other great advancement may follow.

I would like to see the technology get more advanced but still user friendly. Not so tech that there's nothing in it for the Dj. I still want to be challenged like with records or CD's...

well i dont know the history of the standard analog mixer, but i assume there were many different attempts by various companies until someone invented the one you see today which then became the 'staple'.
all evoltion from there would have been internal, like fancier knobs and supersmooth faders etc.
i assume digital would follow that same trend.

someone with some actual knowledge on the subject should jump in here cos im jus theorising based on my very limited knowledge.

No I'm saying that I hope if it does get more techy that is more for the Dj than just stand there pushing buttons...

ill put in my 2cents about the future of dj-ing, we the "digital/midi" dj will become performers not just dj's that play deck a to deck b. We will take advantage of all the technology that coming out and use them towards our advantage. Ean has help bring a community of wicked djs from all over the world together. And we share a common interest, and thats...How can we take DJing to the next level.

Right now the norm is 2 decks (1200's or cdj) & a mixer...but little by little you will see more dj's take advantage of midi controllers and go full blown midi or simply add to there current setup to add loop/fx/production abilities to there sets.
