just thought id share my shock! i was at work in the club that i run today, when at about 4.45 pm a jeep drove into the front fire exit of the building and two balaclava'd guys jumped out and came into the building, they came into the office where i was and asked where the safe was, so i just told them, they couldnt get inside it luckily and i had left my keys at home, they left with only a fake £20 that i had on the desk that someone had tried to use at the weekend. Luckily i didnt get hurt and they got away with nothing. but it is a wake up call to me and should remind everyone, no matter where you work that at this time of year, thieving little t**ts are out for all they can get, so just keep your eyes open and be careful.

corby in northamptonshire, i couldnt believe what i was seeing on the cctv for a moment, to be honest i was shi**ing myself, but i was lucky i suppose

@ photojojo, im deputy manager at a nightclub and bar during the week.

hopefully they do get caught, nothing but opportunists, but if anyone works with cash they should be aware. We have a good idea who they were and have said to the police but got to see whether or not they act.

Yeah, I've been held up before at gunpoint, and it's never a fun experience. Glad you came out of it fine, you never know with people like that exactly what they are on, or what they are going to do. (As honestly, most of it is usually drug-related).

In my experience, unless you had cameras, not much will happen. But I don't really think the police try hard unless they are forced by political or media.

Probably not a good idea in the UK, as the legality of threatening an intruder with an offensive weapon is questionable :/ Heard a story recently where a farmer threatened a burglar with a shotgun, i believe he got locked up for it!
