    Default Why is the search function soooooooo crap

    basically why is the search function on here is soooooo crap, i can never find anything im after then i would get slated if i started a new thread on something when there is one already open

    Maybe we should make tags a *required field, when starting a new thread.

    I also hate using the search function because it is, IMO, hardly ever useful. I just go through pages and pages of threads before asking my questions.

    use google? just type djtechtools.com/forum: "search term" into the google box and youŽll only get results from the forum

    use google to search djtt. here is how. type your search into google. add a colon, and the web address. here is an example of how to use google to search for "search function"
    search function :http://www.djtechtools.com

    (ignore the fact its a link)

    Yeah, I use google to search too, but the syntax I use is

    Tags is NOT a way to improve the search.

    I'd still like to know what the OP was searching for. Maybe there is an issue with the search index.

    Ive always used the google to search the forums too.. maybe we should look at using google to power the search on the forums instead ?
