Sony mdr-v6 if you want a high quality studio / dj headphone that sounds amazing, loud, isolating, and will last a lifetime ..(mine are 12 yrs old).

Look for reviews on the Sony MDR-V6 (there's thousands!) ... And only around $60 brand new from Amazon..... in the sub $150 bracket they are probably THE best headphones for DJ'ing

Numark Kam Behringer and American Audio are pretty crappy as far as headphones go, don't touch them IMHO unless you are wiling to replace them with something decent within a year.

Under NO circumstances buy headphones from Chinese / Hong Kong sellers on Ebay.

Don't buy sony V600's Sony v700's or v500's only the MDR-7506 or V6 (same headphone).

Good luck and welcome to the forums

Sony MDR7506 are hands down the best $100 headphones available imo. Beware of knock off's that have a price that seems to good to be true.

MDR-V6's should set you around $60-75

MDR-7506's should set you around $80-100

Both the headphones above are essentially exactly the same with a better "pro" warranty on the 7506 + a gold plug.

Just as a rough guide, any cheaper and its most likely a knockoff.

in that price range the 7506 is the ones to get, and as said before DO NOT buy off ebay from hong kong/china imitations.
