Has anyone here have had their Technics serviced before?
If so where and about how much do they charge?

I own a service center. Unfortunately, Nothing in your description can help us to determine how much neither where to send you as you havent't told us where you live. Shipping cost is often huge.
Prices really depend what need to be done AND/OR changed. Labour charge also vary from one place to another (40$-110$ an hour + parts).

sorry for the lack of info.I live in Virginia and am looking to get a pair of 1200 mk2 from a friend of mine.He told me they probably will need to be serviced which is why I asked the question.I don't believe anything is majorly flawed with them but maybe more in need of a tune up

Tune up may include few things
- Pitch cleaning or better changing them if they're too aged
- global cleaning & maybe some lube
- Various adjustment (calibration, tonearm)
- PC board inspection & verification
- change RCA cable
- change some tact switch and maybe the target light (original part or LED mod)
and so forth
from an hour to xyz each + parts.
I'd say, send them to a well known service center in your area so they can give you an estimation of the cost. Fortunately, some here know where you could send them in your area.
'round here, an average cost of most "tune up & cleaning" job range from 70-125$ each (+ parts if any). Still, It's really a case by case thing.

Where do you live in VA? I'm in Loudoun and depending on what needs to be done, I may be able to help.
