Default Gig coming up - Need Help with setup

    Hey there lads,

I got a gig coming up soon with 2 other friends who are also DJ's. The last couple of gigs we did were alot smaller and when we swaped between DJs we just had like a 5 second silence when we swapped cables etc.. For this gig i would like us to be a bit more professional and not have any delays between the swaps if possible.

I need some help/advice on how to swap between DJs, as we are using different setups.

Me and my friend are using my CDJ 850's with DJM 400 with serato running through serato SL4 - with 2 laptops.

My other friend is wanting to use his laptop with his S4 - with TP2.

So that means 3 laptops - 2 of which are going through serato + cdjs, and the other laptop with tsp and an s4.

Whats the easiest way i can set this all up to work ?

I'm sure will will be hooking up the club sound system with an xlr cable.

    Any ideas ?

Ask your buddy with the S4 if he needs to use all 4 decks. You can run the output from the Pioneer to an empty deck on the S4. That seems like the easiest solution

edit: Technically he only needs to change one of the decks to live input while you or your friend are playing on the shared set-up. If he needs 4 decks while he's playing he can just change it back to a regular deck....just needs to change it back to live input when you want to get back on.

^No its not since the S4 doesn't have XLR out and a few other reasons.
Just have him run master RCA out to aux in on your Pio mixer.

Yea buddy. check out my edit on my 1st post too. It's easy to do. The only downfall is that if he has problems w/ sound or a laptop crash then you all are screwed.

Maybe a cheap RCA switch would do the trick

Yeah just plug the S4 into one of the channels on the DJM400 with an RCA cable.
