Default Looking for an ableton controller (djing)

Hey guys, ive had my go at a few djing programs, controllers, turntables, cdjs, basically everything the field..
Sold my most recent turntables for 450$ So i have that money saved up

Basically what im looking for is a controller/mixer, i dont even know, something to use for djing properly in Ableton.

I know that ableton isnt a djing program and everything, i know the terms

Just for christmas i got a novation launchpad from my parents, i love it, amazing tool for producing..

Now ive been looking at things like the APC40 (whcih would render my launchpad useless), using the launchpad with something like the Korg Zero 8, or some other mixer..

    Whats everybodys opinion on this?
Thanks so much guys, sorry for the vague info... Im tired :/

Those together make a better APC40! Do you have some sort of soundcard?

    Agreed!

There is no better controller for someone who is just starting to use Ableton.
More than enough faders and buttons and its hardwired. Its a no brainer really.

But if you have Ableton Experience and fancy messing about, then any controller 'could' do.

I would think about how I want to actually run my DJ sets in Ableton and see what I would need to control.

Then make a choice based on that.

okay well right now im basically thinking of using my launchpad along with a mixer. not sure what mixer though.

the korg zero 8 looks perfect, but its kinda not portable and a little expensive for my taste.

are there any alternatives to this?>
